One day I asked Hope - tell me about yourself
She looked at me, smiled and whispered in my ear
I am an integral part of you, witness me in every cell
Attentively I listened and hope said - my dear

I deliver miracles that are beyond logic, beyond imagination
I cure when doctors tell you; you got six weeks to live
I enjoy living when shadows of death are all around

I am as stable as the ground under your feet
I am as colorful as the rainbows in your life
I am as enduring as day and night
I am as reliable as your breath of life

I teach you to accept life as it happens
With grace, dignity love and compassion
